Dear Governor Cuomo… features a unique coalition of musicians, scientists and other participants who gathered in Albany in May 2012 to discuss and present evidence why the moratorium on hydraulic-fracturing should not be lifted in New York.

“I’ve made films about environmental issues literally around the world, only to discover that one of the biggest threats to clean water — fracking — is looming in my own backyard,” says director Jon Bowermaster.

Under the musical direction of Natalie Merchant, a concert event was put together and filmed by Academy Award-winning documentarian Alex Gibney. The film features concert footage, and interviews featuring environmental biologist Sandra Steingraber, actors Mark Ruffalo and Melissa Leo, and musicians including Joan Osborne, Citizen Cope, Medeski Martin and Wood, Simi Stone, and The Felice Brothers.
