Last night, Trump doubled down on his bigoted anti-immigrant agenda with the decision to pardon a nativist zealot, who has abused his power to systematically discriminate against Latinos. We will not stand by as Trump continues to threaten our friends and neighbors. Let’s use this final week of August recess to make sure Congress does everything it can to stop Trump’s racist campaign against immigrants.
You’ve kept your members of Congress (MoCs) accountable through a long, hot summer, and this week is your chance to finish recess strong. This week, use our August recess toolkit to plan your last events, and maybe try something new! And even though Washington is still in August recess mode, Trump is threatening to push his dangerous anti-immigrant agenda — make sure when your MoCs return to DC that they stand with the immigrants in their communities and against Trump’s nationalist policies.
