Thank you all for you calls and letters to stop Gina Haspel’s nomination for CIA. The Senators are listening … the pressure is on. Haspel offered to pull her nomination on Friday due to the intense scrutiny on her past, including torture. Her hearing is scheduled for Wednesday – call our Senators this week to vote NO on Haspel for CIA
The current Farm Bill expires September 30th; John Faso as part of the House Agriculture Committee has passed the new version of the bill. This bill is not good for your neighbors in NY19, it includes stringent food stamp eligibility and work requirements as well as an attack on our small farmers, sustainable agriculture, states’ rights, and the environment. Read Sierra Club’s run down of the issues and then call Faso to vote NO on the misguided Farm Bill.
If you have not called to protect Net Neutrality, there is still time. Call and tell our Senators and Faso to co-sponsor Senator Markey’s and Rep Doyle’s resolution to save net neutrality!
