In Action, NY State Action, NY State Legislation

Call your NYS Senator, NYS Assembly member & Gov. Cuomo, and urge them to ensure a working democracy during the COVID-19 pandemic crisis by passing the VOTE by MAIL bill!

We New Yorkers MUST be allowed to VOTE BY MAIL in the June 23 primary if the COVID19 pandemic crisis continues. NY’s presidential primary has been moved to June 23rd, and that’s also the primary for state and federal offices.

NYS Senator Jen Metzger just introduced an emergency Vote By Mail bill to make sure our Board of Elections has plan to use a vote-by-mail system in time for the June primary. Absentee voting is too cumbersome – voters have to send in an application in order to receive a ballot. With Vote By Mail, all registered voters will AUTOMATICALLY receive their ballot. PLEASE CALL THESE ELECTED OFFICIALS and tell them to PASS Senate bill S8120 / Assembly bill A10231 and let New York VOTE BY MAIL!
