I want to thank Senator Schumer for using the blue slip tradition to block Trump’s unfit nominees for federal prosecutors. I thank the Senator for his bold action and his strong statements to defend the rule of law.

I ask that the Senator oppose H.R. 471, the Fix Our Forests Act, which recently passed the House. This bill ignores proven wildfire community protection measures, endangering our communities to prioritize opening federal lands to logging interests. It also guts key pieces of the Endangered Species Act.
