I am calling to urge the Congressman to assert Congress’ rightful control over federal funding for public broadcasting and save NPR and PBS. Access to information is essential to any democracy, and one of the first steps toward authoritarianism is to control the media. Donald Trump has no authority to unilaterally eliminate funding for this important service. Congress must protect public broadcasting.
