In Action, NY State Action

BACKGROUND: Advocate for the New York for All Act, (S2235) which would prohibit all state and local law enforcement agencies and correctional facilities from sharing information with ICE absent legal mandates, and would standardize protections for immigrants statewide. This Act is still in the Senate Codes Committee. We need to urge our State Senators to act decisively and quickly to protect immigrants and their families who reside in NY State.

Call Senator Peter Oberacker (SD51): 607-432-5524
Hi, my name is [NAME] and I’m a constituent from [CITY, ZIP].

I’m calling to strongly urge Senator Oberacker to become a co-sponsor of the New York for All Act (S2235) and take a stand against the Trump administration’s mass deportation plan. This bill will prohibit and regulate the discovery and disclosure of immigration status across NY State. New York’s economy and the fabric of our communities rely heavily on the hard work of undocumented immigrants. We will all suffer devastating consequences without them. Thank you.

Call Senator Michelle Hinchey (SD41): 845-331-3810
Hi, my name is [NAME] and I’m a constituent from [CITY, ZIP].

I’m calling to thank Senator Hinchey for being a co-sponsor of the New York for All Act (S2235) and for taking a stand against the Trump administration’s mass deportation plan. I strongly urge Senator Hinchey to do whatever she can to get this bill voted out of committee and moved swiftly toward becoming law. New York’s economy and the fabric of our communities rely heavily on the hard work of undocumented immigrants. We will all suffer devastating consequences without them. Thank you.
