I’m calling to urge the Senator to support the bipartisan bill to permanently block funding for Trump’s $1.8 billion slush fund, and to sign a discharge petition if House leadership refuses to bring the bill to a vote. Congress should act now to ensure that taxpayer dollars can never be used for these blatantly corrupt payouts.
I also ask that the Senator oppose the $200 million cuts to WIC in the 2027 Agriculture appropriations bill passed by the House. Cuts to the Special Supplemental Nutrition Program for Women, Infants, and Children endanger the health of pregnant people, new parents, and young children.

Stop Trump’s $1.8B Political Slush Fund
June 8, 2026: The Bipartisan Transparency for American Taxpayers Act has been introduced to block Trump’s slush fund from receiving taxpayer money. Despite Acting Attorney General Todd Blanche telling Congress that the fund was no longer moving forward, Trump reaffirmed his support for it during a Meet the Press interview and refused to rule out payments to individuals convicted for their roles in the January 6 attack on the Capitol. Congress now has an opportunity to permanently prevent taxpayer dollars from being used for these payouts.
June 5, 2026: Despite statements from Senate Republicans expressing interest in using the ICE & CBP budget reconciliation bill to legislatively block Trump’s slush fund, they voted down all amendments to do so. The Senate ultimately passed the bill without any limits on the fund.
June 2, 2026: A federal judge in Virginia has paused the creation of Trump’s “anti-weaponization” fund. The administration is now prohibited from transferring or disbursing any money before a June 12th hearing. While the Justice Department has announced that they will abide by the court’s temporary order, this is merely a “pause” and not a full dismantling of the slush fund.
