You are invited to join us in a series of discussions at the African Roots Center, 43 Gill Street, Kingston, on how to understand and fight gentrification.
The Center’s Board hopes that developing a common understanding will help bring people together for this vital struggle. By providing information and a place for discussion, we hope to help build the movement. In light of the urgency of the issue, our program committee would like to hold regular monthly sessions rather than just occasional programs.
Our first meeting, to plan these discussions, will be on Nov. 15th at 6:30 PM at the African Roots Center. This date marks the 10th Anniversary of the government’s dispersal of the Occupy Wall Street movement across the US. So it’s a good date on which to continue OWS’s tradition of involving people in charting the course of our movement.
I hope you can join us and bring your ideas. The Center will be open and masks are required.
