NY19 Democratic Congressional Candidates Forum Broadcast
This event is free and open to the public. Doors open at 6PM. Forum and live broadcast will start promptly at 7PM.
Radio Kingston is hosting this NY19 Democratic Candidates Forum from the auditorium of Kingston High School. All of the candidates on the primary ballot in June will be in attendance. The forum will be broadcast live on WKNY 1490 am, as well as streamed live at RadioKingston.org. A live Facebook video feed will be shown on the Radio Kingston Facebook page and both audio and video will be archived for later listening and viewing.
Moderators will be Hillary Harvey, host of The Source, a civic issues show on Radio Kingston, Dan Barton, editor of the Kingston Times and Caroline Regan, a sophomore at Kingston High School. In addition, Kingston High School sophomore Will Trellar will assist the forum team by collecting audience questions and helping to form questions of student concerns.
Each candidate will make a brief opening statement. Next, a series of 6 – 8 questions will be posed to the candidates, covering topics relevant to NY19’s voters including local, national and international issues. Each candidate will have equal time to answer the same question. The forum will end with questions sourced from the audience. Each candidate will have equal time to answer each question. The forum will conclude with a closing statement from each candidate.
