Celebrate science in the Hudson Valley! Join the March for Science for the Hudson Valley and Science Teach-in. The Hudson Valley March for Science is one of over 400 world wide marches happening worldwide on Earth Day, April 22.

This march is a non-partisan event meant to celebrate and promote the importance of science in a free, just, and prosperous society.

In addition to a march, we are organizing a Science Teach-in at Waryas Park. The goal of the Teach-in is to create an environment in which people can learn about science in a relaxed, largely informal way. There are two parts to the Teach-in: tables and activities, and Free Range Science Q&A. We are inviting local organizations to set up tables on local citizen science projects, information on local organizations involved in science, conservation, etc. The Free Range Science Q&A takes advantage of the assembly of local scientists and science-curious citizens to spark small group and individual conversations and discussions about science related topics. Scientists and other experts in the Free Range Science Q&A will wear t-shirts with “Ask Me About:__________” with the blank filled in with their topic of interest to invite questions and conversation.

Information about volunteer opportunities will be available soon. If you have any questions please message the administrator on this page or email ScienceMarchHV@gmail.com
