Why We Need the “For The People Act” More Than Ever
On Wednesday, February 24, at 7pm, DoTheMostGood and our partners will host a virtual town hall on HR1/S1 – the For the People Act of 2021. This legislation – a comprehensive, bold, and transformational reform package to protect voting rights, block corruption and voter suppression, and ensure clean elections – is moving through Congress now. We have invited a panel of experts to educate us, answer your questions and direct our activism to do the most good. Confirmed to date, with more to be added, are:

The event is about engagement, education, and action. Our speakers will offer a big-picture overview of this sweeping package of democracy reforms and focus on key provisions ensuring clean and fair elections, ending the dominance of big money in our politics, and making sure that public servants work for the public interest. They will also explain the urgent, historic opportunity we have in this moment, and the actions you can take to help get these bills passed.
