Sanctuary has become a renewed concern as a result of threats to immigrants and refugees in the United States. The recent election has provoked escalating intimidation. Our meeting will take up the meaning of Sanctuary in the current environment, discuss possible actions to make it viable, and also explore how Sanctuary is part of a comprehensive response to a pattern of denigrating people (races, classes, individuals) to a degree that violates all the great religious traditions. Join with fellow progressives this Sunday for a “Resist Trump” community meeting. We will discuss and collaborate on ways we can tap into the people power in our area and form a plan to resist the radical agenda of the incoming administration.
